Our Process

All our products are unique;  our charcuterie boards and placemats are cross cuts of logs, showing the natural rings and wood patterns in all their natural splendor.  Our grazing boards are flat cuts from black walnut and cherry Ontario hardwoods.  Each piece is crafted with a great deal of care and individual treatment.  Some have bark remaining and some have let their bark go.  No two are identical. We use only recycled wood and eco friendly finishes. What we make are practical dining resources and artistic works of beauty to help us dine together with the bounty of our good earth.  Pictures used on this website are like other similar products of that type and may not be the actual item you purchase.

BILL MAJOR

"Each one of our pieces is a one-of-a-kind work of art"

Charcuterie boards

At a local sawmill, I choose logs and have the sawyer cut them one-inch thick,
on an angle. The pieces are dried for 4 months, using fans before being sanded
to 220 grit.

Several coats of hempseed oil are applied. Each board is then treated with 2 coats of our own hempseed oil/beeswax paste.

We package a complimentary tin of our board paste with every board.

Grazing Boards

I purchase kiln-dried, planed, live-edged boards from sawmills, and I sand them to 220 grit.

I then treat them with several coats of hempseed oil and end with 2 coats of our hempseed oil/beeswax paste, a tin of which comes with each purchase.

Table

I purchase kiln-dried, planed, live-edged boards from sawmills for custom orders, and I sand them to 220 grit.

I then finish them with 2 coats of an eco-friendly hard wax/oil product.

After assembly, they are ready for pick-up or delivery.
